Tableau Developer / Data Analyst

Looking for a candidate with strong experience in Tableau and SQL. This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining existing reports/dashboards. The position’s responsibilities include gathering requirements; identify and curate data sources for reports, and develop reports.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Create new or update existing Tableau data visualization and reporting dashboards.
• Design Dashboards with Quick Filters and Parameters to handle views efficiently
• Implement Single sign-on in Tableau and automated the tableau views to export into PDF
• Worked extensively with Calculations, Sets, Custom Hierarchies, Background images, Mapping, Actions.
• Create Views with different axis like individual axis and dual axis comparison
• Create and Update Tableau dashboards using both Extracts and Live connections from both relation DB tables/view and stored procedures, web services, and non-relational dbs.
• Design and optimize dashboards for the best possible load times Embed and integrate dashboards in existing web apps (using JS and other technologies).
• Customize Tableau server configuration as needed.
• Work closely with QA and UAT team and attend QA/UAT defect triage calls.
• Create, configure, and deploy Tableau Servers if necessary.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in CS, IT, MIS or a closely related field of study.
• 3 years experience developing and supporting IT applications.
• Experience with Tableau, Oracle, SQL Server, BigData, AWS.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Strong exposure in SQL 
• Strong in ETL concepts, processes and Business Objects Data Services experience.
• Proficient in creating and using complex SQL queries, Stored Procedures and validating reports/back end data.
• Ability to use ETL tools like Informatica in addition to Application Development products.
• Familiarity with Oracle 12c and APEX would be a plus
• Strong Data Analysis skills with Database knowledge and experience with database query tools and languages (TOAD/DB Visualizer/SQL Developer).
• Experience with creation of users, groups, projects, workbooks and the appropriate permission sets for Tableau server logins and security checks
• Candidate should have some Tableau Admin skills
• Excellent understanding of Data modeling (Dimensional & Relational) on concepts like Star-schema, Snowflake schema using fact and dimension tables and relational databases
• Expertise in connecting to various Data Sources (Flat file, Big Data, NoSQL) with Tableau.
• Experience in working with multiple data sources and handling large volumes of data
• Hands on experience in User management & security.
• Working experience in performance optimization.
