Data Engineer/Analyst

We are seeking experienced Data Analyst/Data Engineer’s to join our Data & Analytics team. As a Data Analyst/Data Engineer you will collaborate with our internal technology and delivery teams on ongoing projects.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Work in a high impact and high visibility projects that enables data availability, encompasses data analytics, machine learning, and petabyte scale datasets, and provide reliable and timely access to thousands of data sources.
• Assist in the design, architecture and support new and existing data and ETL pipelines and recommend improvements and modifications.
• Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and build out new integrations and processes required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from a wide variety of data sources using HQL and 'Big Data' technologies.
• Assemble large, complex data sets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements.
• Create optimal data pipeline architecture and systems.
• Implement processes and systems to validate data, monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.
• Perform root cause analysis on internal and external data and processes to answer specific business questions and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Write unit/integration tests, contributes to engineering wiki, and documents work.
• Provide technical, production & go-live support and participate in troubleshooting.
• Create new or update existing data visualization and reporting dashboards.
• Design Dashboards with Quick Filters and Parameters to handle views efficiently
• Implement Single sign-on and automated the views to export into PDF
• Work with Calculations, Sets, Custom Hierarchies, Background images, Mapping, Actions.
• Create Views with different axis like individual axis and dual axis comparison
• Create and Update dashboards using both Extracts and Live connections from both relation DB tables/view and stored procedures, web services, and non-relational dbs.
• Design and optimize dashboards for the best possible load times Embed and integrate dashboards in existing web apps (using JS and other technologies).
• Customize server configuration as needed.
• Work closely with QA and UAT team and attend QA/UAT defect triage calls.
• Create, configure, and deploy on Servers if necessary.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in CS, IT, MIS or a closely related field.
• 2-3 years’ experience developing and supporting Data driven applications.
• Experience with Python, R, NLP will be a plus
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple task assignments.
• Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.

Required Skills:

• Strong exposure in SQL/PL SQL and Proficient in creating and using complex SQL queries, Stored Procedures and validating reports/back end data.
• Strong in ETL concepts, processes and Business Objects Data Services experience.
• Ability to use ETL tools like Informatica in addition to Application Development products.
• Familiarity with Oracle 12c and APEX would be a plus
• Strong Data Analysis skills with Database knowledge and experience with database query tools and languages (TOAD/DB Visualizer/SQL Developer).
• Experience with creation of users, groups, projects, workbooks and the appropriate permission sets for Tableau server logins and security checks
• Candidate should have some Tableau Admin skills
